We’re Open! – 24.3.18
It’s been a busy few days for all the Team here and we’re very pleased to announce WE’RE OPEN!
Firstly a huge thank you to our Firefighters who saved the hotel and to all those that have been involved in the extensive clean up. Thank you for all your messages of support, we hope to see you again very soon!
Whilst the main Hotel and Events facilities have been unaffected by these events, our outward appearance isn’t at its best. Please bear with us as we undergo an unforeseen makeover…
Press Release – 30.3.18
Having been saved by the great work of the fire brigade we are now working with our local contractors and our lovely hotel team to put the fire behind us.
A week on and the good news is that the hotel bedrooms and the function rooms are all fully open and welcoming back our regulars and new guests. It has been lovely to see so many friendly faces! In addition we have relocated the bar and restaurant into the main hotel and are running a full service there from breakfast through to dinner. We have a new coffee machine so are still able to serve great cappuccinos, lattes etc and the usual selection of yummy cakes and we have a great range of beers, wines and spirits and even wonderful Flack Manor cask ale on a new hand-pulled pump.
From the outside we have tidied up all the debris from the fire and scrubbed the car park. Our next step will be to start on the re-roofing and we have had good meetings with our Master Thatcher Chris Gaussen to plan for this.
Once we are watertight we will refurbish the bar and restaurant and we have had initial discussions with our designer to sort that.
Behind the scenes our local maintenance contractors Online Facilities Management led by Tim Jobbins and Steve and his band of electricians have made sure everything is sorted and safe so once we get the start-signal we will be ready to start on all the remedial works.
